Try Pottery (taster)

About the class

Fancy trying a new skill? Had your eye on learning pottery? Our ‘Try Pottery’ class is perfect for beginners to master one of mans’ oldest skills. This one-hour class includes learning some of the basic techniques to turn a lump of clay into a unique product either on the wheel, or hand-building. This group class accommodates up to four people, so use it as an opportunity to meet other like minded people or bring a group of friends. You will have the chance to make two pieces and then paint one of our pre-made pots. Take home one of the pots you made and the pot you painted, with the option to take your third pot home for an additional £5. Please note that it will take two to three weeks for the clay to dry and be fired, therefore you will need to return to collect it at a later date. Alternatively, we can post your creations to you (postage fees apply), however, we cannot accept responsibility for breakages while in transport to you. We will keep pots for 3 months. Before your class, please ensure that your nails are a suitable length, and if you have long hair, you will also need to bring something to tie it up with.
